A Wheelbarrow Full Of Love

I made this card today for a few challenges.

This is the Friday Freebie image from Sew Many Cards Challenge.  I thought it was really sweet so I downloaded it and decided to use it to enter the challenge.  Her challenge is Purple, White and a Splash of Black.  Not being a purple person all I had in my craft room that was purple was some solid CS.  This card is  a 6"x6" square.  I used black and cut a piece of the purple 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.    I was using a sketch from another challenge so I needed another paper with purple.  I used a clear flourish stamp and stamped with purple on white paper to make it.  I cut the image out with an oval nestie and backed it with a nestie scallop.  The sentiment was also a clear $1 stamp cut out with nesties.  I tried my hand at making one of those scrunchie flowers I had been seeing everywhere and saw again on Cheryl's blog and thought I'd give it a try.   Her blog is definately one of my favorites (she doesn't know it but I began following her before I had a blog).   Ok ... lol ... back to my card......I only had a little flower punch and used old dictionary pages and inked them with purple.  It is OK but I need more practice.  I added glitter to the hearts and around the edge (for ano
ther challenge) and 6 black dots.  Image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  And that is all there is to it.  A pretty simple card really....I am not overly pleased with it but I hope you like it anyway.  Til next time.......

Challenges:
Sew Many Cards Challenge - Purple, White, Splash of Black
Papertake weekly challenge - Sketch
A Spoonful Of Sugar     -      freestyle
Allsorts Challenge Blog   -   hearts and flowers
Creative Card Crew  -  punch it
Your Next Stamp Challenge - Glitter

Here is the sketch:

Whew!!!  I think I have it.  For those of you who aren't familiar with  Angela of Sewn Together and the Sew Many Cards Challenge  she has really lovely stamps.  You can get them at Digital-Ink Co.

The Greeting Farm CHA Relay

This card is for the relay over at Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm.

This image had to be used and how cute is he?  His name is Mer Ian from The Greeting Farm.  I colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I used a circle punch to punch out the waves and a CB embossing folder for the swirls.  The sentiment is another of the Studio G clear dollar stamps as well as the fish and bubbles.  I used a piece of ribbon I found in my stash and a frog button.
I had to make this card really fast so didn't get a really good pic but you get the idea.  I hope you like it!

.

Challenge at Digital-Ink Co.

This is my first challenge as a Design Team Member for Digital-Ink Co.  The challenge is a baby or animal  birthday using the colors red, yellow, green, blue and 1 neutral.  Here is my card:

This image is Emily created by Lil Diva Stamps at Digital-Ink Co.   They have a large selection of digital stamps from 8 different creators.  You are sure to find something you like.

For this card I colored "Emily" with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS and mounted her on an oval cut with nestabilites ovals and embossed with my cuttlebug.....the papers are from my stash.....I tried to repeat the flowers in her hand by using a flower punch in 2 different sizes....the sentiment is computer generated and mounted on nesties labels one....and the Happy Birthday was a stamp I found in a bargain bin for $1.  My neutral color is ivory and I used an ivory organza ribbon.  The flower centers and yellow dots are Scribbles dimensional paint.

Hop on over to the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog and play with us.  Paper Wishes is sponsoring this challenge and they are giving away over $75.00 in prizes.
Come and play....I'll be looking for you!

Daisy Doodles Design Team Challenge

Miss Daisy challenged her Design Team to make a card out of this stamp:

but she had some rules attached to it.

The rules were:

max of 2 papers,
something different than a normal card...say tri fold,
light colours,
max of 2 small embellishments

I don't have to tell you this was a tough one.  Here is my card:

I decided to do a zig-zag tri-fold.  The paper is K&Company and the sentiment is computer generated.  My 2 embellishment are a Disney Princess and flower sticker.  I colored the castle with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  I have to say that this is the 4th image I colored before I was satisfied..lol.  Here is a close-up of the castle:

This is the one I decided on.  It is for my great niece, Maddie, who is turning 4.  I really hope she likes it.

I'm thinking Miss Daisy just wanted to see what we are made of....rofl

Daisy Doodles and a New Project

Most of you know that I am on Jules Design Team.  Jules, formerly Jules Junk,  is now
She has started the New Year with a new name and a new blog.  You can see her stamps here.
She has added new ones.  Now for my project.
Miss Daisy this is for you!

I love to stitch on CD's....almost as much as coloring images...lol.  This is one of  Jules images and I thought that with her new name this was the perfect image.  I colored it with Prismas and OMS.  CD's are very difficult to photograph so this picture does not do it justice...it really does look better in real life.  I hope you like it.  I really had fun making it.

I have another card with one of her images that I will show you tomorrow.  Until then
Happy Crafting!!!

Happy Birthday Diane

My SIL Diane has a birthday coming up and I made her a card.  She is married to my twin brother Roger and is 9-1/2 months older than us and we tease her about being old.  (Yes there are 2 of us...lol...but I'm the good one...just ask me..)   Anyway  this is her card:

While blog surfing today I ran across a tutorial for a joy fold card  and had to give it a try.  I had these images from Squigglefly colored  since last year and wanted to use them.  Here is the inside:

The DP is K & Company ...I used $1 clear stamps and a ribbon and that's it.  I will make more of these kind.  It was easy but effective.  I hope you like it!

Announcement and BD Calendar

I have an announcement to make.  I have known for a little while but wasn't allowed to tell.  But I can now.  I have been chosen for the Digital-Ink Co. (DICo) Design Team .....yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!  I am so excited and very nervous as all of this is really new to me.   But I have a lot to do to get my blog ready and myself ready for the first challenge later this month.  If you have never been there go over and check them out....be sure and look at the challenge blog, too.  Lots of great Digital Stamps that I can't wait to play with.  See you there...lol

One of my resolutions this year was to do better with family and friends birthdays.   They manage to slip up on me so I decided to make myself a Birthday Calendar.

The image is one of Jules which is one of the creators at DICo.  Colored with Prisma Pencils and OMS, Paper from my stash and the swirls are a Sissix die used in my Cuttlebug.  It is in an acrylic picture frame from the Dollar Tree Store.      One of my other resolutions are to work on my picture taking.  There is a glare across the bottom of the pic.  Anyway I did have a little help with taking the pic:

Meet Buddy!  He decided to get right in the middle of it..lol...If I wanted to take pics of him it would never happen.  It's all on his terms.

Anyway, I hope you like my calender.

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers #29

I am very excited to be part of SBS #29.  This is my introduction post for all of my new Sisters.  I'm suppose to tell about myself.....hmmm.....I guess I lead a pretty average life.  I live in West Virginia (USA) and am married to Ronnie and have 2 Sons...Reno 24 is still home...and Rudy 36 lives in Florida with my wonderful DIL and 3 Grandchildren....The boys Taylor and Dalton..14 & 5 and my one & only girl Cierra who is 11.  We have 2 dogs....Pepper and Prince and 1 cat...Buddy.  I love Paper Crafts, Altered Art and taking photos (although I'm not very good at photographing my cards..lol).  My all-time favorite thing right now is Digital Stamps and Prismacolor Pencils.  I work full-time as a Tailor for a Men's Clothing Store.  I work 12:30 - 9 pm so I am a night owl.  I'm usually up in my craftroom or in front of the TV coloring digi images long after everyone else has gone to bed.  I have only been blogging since September and I have found that I really enjoy it.. I only wish there were more hours in the day to keep up with all my blogging friends and now my new Sisters.
That's pretty much it.......I am looking forward to getting to know my Sisters!!!!!!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to everyone!  I am so looking forward to 2010.  I believe the new year holds a lot of promise for many of us.

I ran upstairs and made this card real fast because I wanted to start January 1 with a card.  I'm not real sure where I found the image but I will find out and let you know.  I know that when I saw it I had to have it.  Here's my card:

I have no idea why but I also associate blue with New Years....go figure?!?   These are the supplies I used.....
Gemstones CS from Michaels
Paper by K & Company
Oval Nestabilities
Cuttlebug corner dies
Clear Gems
Silver Peel Off borders
Silver Stickles
Prismacolor Pencils & OMS
and that's it.   Anyway I hope you like it even though I kinda hurried through it.  And......

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
