A Little Pink Basket

I have spent the last few days scouring the Whiff Of Jog Blog and found this little basket tutorial.  I have to say it was very quick and easy.

All it took was cardstock, paper, border punch, ribbon, glue, 2 brads and 2 buttons.  I used Daisy Doodles Designer Paper Pack - Pink for the basket and the flowers.  I am loving these papers.

These paper packs come in Pink, Blue, Lilac, Green and Yellow.  Each one has 20 different 2" x 2" papers that all coordinate together and can be mixed and matched..  I have successfully printed them up to 5 " x 7" which is perfect for cards.  They are only  $1.45 per pack.

I hope you like my little pink basket...they would be so cute for so many different things.

D2D "Garden Fairy"

Well I made it again with 56 minutes to spare....lol.  Faith always gives us the most wonderful images and this one is no exception.

This is for the Designed 2 Delight:  Delightful Inspiration Challenge.  If you have never been there you need to go.  It is a progressive challenge each month.  When you use her image at the beginning of the month you get the next one.  Faith has the most adorable images.  You can check out her Digi Stamp Store HERE.

Now onto the card details.  I ran across a tutorial today at Whiff Of Joy for a 3D Easel Card and thought this little Garden Fairy was perfect.  Other that the card stock and Stickles all of the elements are from Daisy Doodles Card Kits.  I printed the papers, fence, flowers and ribbon.  I am really having fun with digital papers and elements.  Until next time.....

"Eggbert" and New Daisy Doodles Designer Paper Packs

This image is "Eggert" from Daisy Doodles.  But before I post my card I want to tell you what I'm doing.  Miss Daisy has brand new Paper Packs.  They are 2" square papers.  This week I am playing with the different packs.  There are 5 different packs...Blues, Yellows, Pinks, Greens and Lilacs.  On to the card:
There are 20 different papers in each pack.  For this one I chose the yellows.  Before you notice all the mistakes in this card..I will tell you that they are there..lol.  But my goal was to experiment with the papers.  I used Picassa 3 to print them.  The passport setting is the perfect 2x2 square.  But I also played around and was able to print them at wallet size up to 4x6 and not lose the quality.  On this card I think I used 6 of the different patterns.  I used them on the background and also to paper piece the image.  These are just perfect for paper piecing.  I also made the flower with them.  I am having a blast playing with these papers.  I used the blue pack in the previous post directly under this one.  The paper I used to print on was the really cheapie everyday copy paper.   I am back to work today but as soon as I can I am going to get a better paper to print on.  My mistakes on the card was due to the fact that my paper was really cheap and thin.  But even with that they printed out beautifully.  I still have 3 colors to play with.  WOOHOO!
So if you are interested in these DP Packs keep watching..I am going to be playing with them all.  You can see all of  them HERE.

D2D "In Bloom"

Here is my card for this week challenge over at Designed 2 Delight: Delightful Inspiration .  How cute is this image!
The batteries in my camera are dead so I had to scan.  All of the Papers are from the new Daisy Doodles Paper Pack - Blue.  There are 20 different ones in each pack and  5 different color packs.  I am loving playing with them ... lol   The image is this weeks D2D image and I colored it with my Prismas and OMS.  I used Stickles on the flower centers but it doesn't show up. I cannot wait to see what image Faith has for us this week.  Whatever it is will be wonderful.

"Lady" Tent Card

Here is a Tent Card made with Daisy Doodles "Lady" Stamp.  The tutorial for this card can be found HERE.

My intention was to make the Lady look like a cameo.  This was really a fun card to make and I will definately  make more of these.  The front is beige CS with stamped flourishes in pink.  The papers and flower is from K & Company.  I used Oval Nesties for the cut out and the "Lady" ... gold border peel-offs,  and of course an organza ribbon. This card really does look better in real life.  I hope you like it.  You can purchase Daisy Doodles Stamps HERE.

Green Card for SBS29

My SBS29 Sistah Cheryl challenged us to make a green card.  This is mine:
This was my first attempt at Paper Piecing.  Her jacket, hat and the bunny are paper pieced.  The rest I colored.  All the papers came from my scrap basket.  I love using up my scraps.  The image is from Soft Pencil.  I replaced the heart shaped balloon with a circle punched shamrock.

Sympathy Sentiment

Miss Daisy added a Sympathy Sentiment stamp to the store and I added it to the inside of the Sympathy Card I made the other day.
Here is the front of the card:
Please excuse the pic...I am having camera problems..lol  I thought this sentiment was perfect for the inside.  I think it could also be used as the focal image on the front of a card.  I will have to give that a try.  You can see this stamp at Daisy Doodles Stamps or purchase it HERE.

Sympathy Card

I am always looking for images to use for Sympathy cards.  They are the hardest for me.  Daisy Doodles has a new image that I think is perfect for Easter and Sympathy.  Here is my card:

I love this image.  I tried to keep this card real simple.  I started with a blank white card.  I colored the image with Prisma Pencils and OMS and inked around the very edge with yellow and matted it on white...matted on yellow embossed with Swiss Dots CB Folder and border punched with MS Punch and added a ribbon.  I then added a piece of yellow paper ribbon and cut out out the sentiment with an Oval Nestie.  I then inked around the edge of the whole card with yellow ink.

I plan on making several Sympathy Cards with this image to have on hand.   I also made an Easter Card with this image..but I will post it tomorrow.   The image is called Floral Cross and you can see it on Daisy Doodles Blog or you can purchase it HERE for $1.45  (great price).  This stamp was very quick and easy to color.  I hope you like what I have done with it.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Cute Daisy May ..... Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad ..... Ovals and Ribbon
Daring Cardmakers ..... Daffodils
Paper Cutz ..... Anything Goes

The Envelope Please and Some News

First...the news......I am now a proud member of  Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Design Team.

For this week we were challenged to use an envelope as part of the challenge.  I was at a loss for a bit and then my Sistah Joanne showed me a card that she had made and then I  knew what I wanted to do.  Of course this would be hand delivered and not mailed but it is an envelope!

I used Lindsay's Birds and Branches Set  for my project. You can find more of Lindsay's Stamps HERE.   I really like this set....it has several great images that can be used alone or combined as I did here.  I used paper from K & Company to make my envelope and on the card insert..lt. pink cardstock..label one nesties and lt. pink organza ribbon.  The sentiment is a stamp that I had and don't remember from where :( .  I colored the image with prismas and oms.  This is my first challenge with Lindsay and I sure hope I met it!!

Visit the other design team blogs and see what they have come up with.

Happy Anniversary to my Hubby

Today is my anniversary so this is for my hubby... Ronnie

Happy Anniversary Ronnie!
I Love you!

Ok..to my blogging friends..I tried to make a card that was more for a man.  This image is "Barbed Heart" by Daisy Doodles.  The papers are also from Miss Daisy.  My good printer ran out of ink so I printed them on my not so good printer and they came out kinda dark but I decided to roll with it.  So everything except the ribbon and the black cardstock is from Miss Daisy.  She has made a card kit that I am playing with and will be posting to get your feedback.

Patches

Well I did it this time.  I am usually just under the wire on D2D Challenge an this week was no exception....except I didn't make it...lol.  I was a few minutes late.  DH and I were watching a movie and I didn't realize the time.  I looked over on my end table and there was Patches colored and ready for a card.  I looked at the clock and it was 20 minutes until 12:00 a.m.  Deadline is 12:00.  I grabbed Patches ..ran upstairs .. made the card as quick as I could..ran back downstairs and got the camera...Oh no!!!..
Batteries are dead.  Found batteries and changed them and took the picture.  Of course it had to be uploaded and cropped.....did all of that and went to the challenge blog and "Linky Widget Expiration: 2 minutes ago".  I thought for a few minutes that it served me right but I would post my card anyway.  But after all the running I had to breathe for a few..lol  Anyway this is my card.  And it was quick!

2 pieces of K&Company paper...pink CS..pink organza ribbon and a $ stamp an viola..less than 10 minutes a card.

Next week I'll do better...(hopefully)  I just love the images and the challenge at Delightful Inspiration....go check it out..new challenge will be posted in the morning.

Until next time,
