My card today is another Clean and Simple Card.  I love this single Daisy image.

Daisies are my FAVORITE flower.  There is nothing prettier than a field full of wild daisies.  All it took for this card was one piece of yellow cardstock .. one piece of paper .. one ribbon and my Digi Stamp from Daisy Doodles.  This is one of the flowers from the set called "Flower Pack".  I used Watercolor Pencils and an an aquabrush to color it.

I am dying for Spring to hurry up and get here!!

Be Mine

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

WOOHOO!!!  Time for a new challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges.  The Challenge this time is a Valentine with color and shimmer.  First of all let me say that I am not a glittery and shiny person.  I prefer to leave the glitz to others... LOL.  But .. I did my best and this is what I came up with and it is shiny ....

I used one of the frames from the "With Love" set from Daisy Doodles.  I really like the simplicity of them.  I used black cardstock .. a print and a solid paper.  I printed the frame on the solid paper and paper pieced the heart with the print paper.  The papers are from my K&Company stack.  OK for my shimmer I used peel-off borders.  They are black with gold edges.  My son Reno really liked this one.  I think he's going to give it to his girlfriend Katie.  It's always nice that someone likes a card well enough that they want to use it for themselves to give.  :)

Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Team Blogs to see their projects.  They are located on my left sidebar.  And then come and play with us.  We would love to see your projects!!

Dalton wants Hats too!

I have been in a sewing mode while my cardmaking muse is out on vacation.  Just thought I'd show you what I have been up to.

After I crocheted and knitted hats for my DGD Cierra (HERE), Dalton ... my 6 year old Grandson asked me to make him "fishin' hats".  I went to the garage and began searching for fabrics that I thought might work. The pattern is Simplicity #5581.   This is what I came up with.

This first one I made turned out to be too small so he can give it to his little cousin:

This one is his size and I decided to make it reversible.  It is dark green on the reverse side:

After I was sure of the size I made him 3 more:
The Camo and Denim reverse to the same fabrics and the black one reverses to a bright blue.  I am thinking he will be pleased.  At least I hope so.

I have been doing some other things too that I'll be showing you between my Design Team obligations.  I had seen a few tutorials on making your own panties from T-shirts by using a pair of favorites for a pattern and I now have a new batch of underwear.....woohoo!!!  But those I am not going to show you ... LOL!

My oldest Grandson .. Taylor .. is 16 so I bought him jeans.  I do have a quilt top that I made him and need to get quilted.  I'll get it out and take a pic and show you.  I am saving it until I make quilts for Cierra and Dalton.

I hope you didn't mind my sewing projects and thanks so much for visiting,

Adored

Today for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Thursday I used one of Lindsay's freebies.  You can still get it HERE.  It is also in Lindsay's Valentine Party Printables kit at mygrafico.  This is an awesome kit for the kid's Valentine Parties or for them to make their own for school.

Another very simple card.  I used red card stock and paper from K & Company for my background .... red and pink to mat the image ..  a red paper doily (I have had these for a couple of years and forget about them) .. red grosgrain ribbon  .. a pink heart button  .. and a Studio G clear stamp Sentiment.
My image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.

Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's and the rest of the girl's blogs to see their projects for this week.

LSS Thursday and a SALE

I used Lindsay's Stamp Stuff  "Posh 'n Trendy" Stamp set  for my card again this week. This is really a nice set.

I just love the little bird in his bird cage.  I did the little bit of coloring with no idea of paper or anything and when I went to choose this was one of the first papers I saw.  So I figured it was meant to be.  I couldn't find the right color of ribbon so I just used the yellow CS and paper.  Then I spotted a roll of some kind of burlap stuff and thought hmmm .... this could work.  Added a piece of sheer ribbon on top and done.  Very quick and easy.  These are not colors I would normally use but I have decided that I like them.  You can find this set HERE at  mygrafico.    And through Sunday Lindsay's having a Valentine Sweet Sale and everything is 30% off.  She has some pretty awesome stuff.

And if that isn't enough go and visit her Blog and get her Freebie this week.  Visit the Design Team Blogs and see what they have come up with this week.  I know you'll be glad you did.
