Casino Invitation

Today I thought I would show you the invitations I made for our annual work Christmas Party.  Our party was Saturday a week ago.   We have to have it before Thanksgiving because they let us close early and as of Black Friday we are too busy to fit our party in.  Anyway our party was held at the Mardi Gras Casino and Dog Track.  The company paid for dinner and drinks at the French Quarter Restaurant at the Casino.  After dinner we hit the slot machines and just had some fun.  Being the gambler that I am NOT I spent $5.00 at the penny slots and won 95 cents and gave it back.  I couldn't tear my hubby away from the Dog Track ... he lost a whopping $6.00.  That is the end of my gambling career....LOL  But .. we had a good time.  This is the Invitation  ...  I made 10 in total:

I also made envelopes with Dice all over them.  Here is the inside:

The images are Daisy Doodles "Vegas Nights".  It is really a fun set.  You can find it HERE at Daisy's Digi Doodles.

Here are the supplies used to make these:
Black Cardstock .. Red Cardstock .. Scraps of various colors cardstock (for the chips) .. Cuttlebug Embossing Folder .. Oval Nestabilities .. Harlequin print by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff ..   and computer generated wording

With Sincere Sympathy

Our Ass't. Manager at work and his wife just lost their cat.  "Buddy" has had a heart condition for years and has endured a lot of testing and trips to the hospital.  This caused him severe breathing problems.  Saturday night they had to take him and have him put to sleep.  I know how difficult it is to lose a beloved pet.  Vicki doesn't have children and Buddy was her baby.  I made them this Sympathy card.

The inside reads:  When a beloved cat must leave us     ... it is only to lay in God's lap.

I also printed this poem out to include in the envelope.

I only hope that they can find some comfort.

I used the new sketch from Gina K. and her resist emboss technique from her video this week.  This is most definitely a case of C.A.S.E.  You can see her card and her video HERE as well as the DT cards.

Day's 10 - 11 Days of Christmas - Daisy Doodles

I have been so busy the last few days that I couldn't get Day's 10 and 11 up for you.  We have been busy at work and Saturday (yesterday) was our work Christmas Party.  So when I got home Friday night I had to hurry and get the envelopes and the insides of my cards for my co-workers done.  I had to be at work at 9 AM Saturday morning and we left work at 6:00 PM and went straight to the party.  Didn't get home until midnight so I was done for the day ... LOL.  Anyway here are Days 10 and 11 of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Day 10  is Carley's adorable Christmas Tree - she even used real lights!  Cute!  Visit Carley at

Day11 is the "Reindeer" by Tina.  I love CAS cards that pop like this one does. Beautiful! Visit Tina at

Season's Greetings with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

It's Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Thursday already and I did a quick Christmas card using one of Lindsay's Snowmen from her "Warm Winter" set.  You can find all her Stamp Sets at mygrafico.

This was a fun and simple card to make.  I am trying to get cards done for my Christmas Card List and I am almost there.  :)   Both papers were in my scrap basket as well as the ribbon.  Colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Goo-Gone I added snow to the bottom of the image.  Very quick and easy.  Don't forget to go to Lindsay's Blog and see her awesome project as well as her freebie for this week.  Then go by the Design Team Blogs and see their creations.  They always amaze me.

D2D - "Kaela"

The image at Delightful Inspiration - Designed 2 Delight Challenge this week is "Kaela- Dressed as an Angel"

I don't usually do shiny cards but I went nuts with shiny on this one.  The background is gold glitter and I used gold and silver stickles and gold and silver leafing pens on the edges.  The ribbon is shiny, too.  You can tell so much here but in real life it's 1000 times prettier.  Go over to Delightful Inspiration and see the rest of the cards.  Some beautiful work!!!   Thanks Faith!!!!

D2D - "Harvest Basket"

I went on vacation and missed the last 2 challenges over at Designed 2 Delight and couldn't wait for this one.  And what a beautiful image.  It was certainly worth waiting for.

This was probably the quickest and easiest card I have ever done.  After coloring with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS I used my new Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and cut out the center with a Nesties Oval (took a nail file to it) and glued them together.  I decided I liked it as is so didn't add any embellishments.  I hope you like it.  You still have one more day to go to Designed 2 Delight and get the image to play along.  I also am entering this into the Double Delight Challenge.

Daisy Doodles "Land, Sea or Air"

I'm very excited about the new Daisy Doodles Challenge.  It is "Land, Sea or Air".  Any mode of transportation.  Here is my card:

I decides to use this Airplane from Miss Daisy's brand new set "Travel Bugs".  How cute is this ?!?  You can find her stamps at Daisy's Digi Doodles Store.  Go and get the details about the upcoming raffle, too.

This was really a very simple card.  You know me ...  I like simple ... LOL.  I sponged the clouds on white cardstock for my sky.  The plane is colored with PrismaPencils and OMS.  The Birthday Banner is from one of the "Freddy" sets ... sponged with yellow ink and a yellow poca-dot ribbon.  All on a blue card base  and done.  I just think this little plane is the cutest.   Go to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges blog and enter your project.  And stop by the rest of the Design Team blogs and see their beautiful cards.  You can find them on my left side bar.  We also have a guest designer ... Paul ... that is fabulous.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised with all of them.
