It's A Girl Thing

I am the official Birthday Card Maker at work for my co-workers.  One of the girls had a birthday Sunday and this is the card I made for her.

The image is from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff  "It's A Girl Thing" digital stamp set.  This one can be found at Lindsay's Shop Handmade Store.  You can also find Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Sets at mygrafico.

I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  I used blue and purple cardstock and stamped flourishes on the blue with purple ink.  (I didn't have any blue and purple paper)  The sentiment is from Bird's Cards.
Lindsay's Design Team blogs are in my right sidebar so visit them and see their projects.  The are really a talented group of Gals.

At the end of the week Lindsay will have a weekly round-up of the projects from the DT as well as a FREEBIE on Thursday.  Visit Lindsay's Blog.  She has tons of inspiration and tutorials all the time.  Her blog is one of my favorites.

My card this week for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff features an image from "Fancy Flowers" Stamp Set.  This is an awesome set.  Here is my card:

Isn't this a pretty image?  I just love it.  You can pick it up at "mygrafico".  I have a real hard time coloring outside the lines but wanted to try with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush.  I always liked the look when I see others do it.  I like the way it turned out.

Visit Lindsay's Blog .... The Frugal Crafter ... and see what she has for you today.  I know it will be something awesome.  And pick up her freebie for the week.  On Friday she'll have a round-up of all the DT cards.  You can find their blogs on my right side-bar.

Come Fly With Me

I am still having internet issues so I am doing my free week card for Daisy Doodles today.  I had actually made this card to be poster earlier but between internet problems, and a busier work schedule and my hubby landing himself in the hospital I have been a little preoccupied with life ...   Anyway I had been dying to use "Up, up and away"  from Daisy's Digi Doodles.  It has digi paper with it, too.

Here is my card:

This was such an easy card to make.  I used a light gray card base, then the digi paper mounted on black.  I colored the plane with prismacolor pencils and oms and inked the sky.  Mounted it on black and the light gray. Attached it to the card along with a computer generated sentiment and done.  Pretty simple!  This was a fun one to do.
If you haven't entered the challenged yet there is still plenty of time.  The theme is May Flowers or Mother's Day.  Go to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges Blog and join in.

Challenges:
Fashionista Friday - #77: Things with wings
Inspire Me Fridays - Always anything goes
Paper Cutz - Challenge #89: Anything goes

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

I had in my mind that I wanted to do Clean and Simple but couldn't decide on an image so I did three. Here is the first one:

I could have sworn that I had yellow ribbon (and I still think I do) but just couldn't put my hands on it so I finally just gave up and used card stock.  I would like this card much better if I had moved the image up and used yellow ribbon under it only.
This is the next one I did and I like it better.
And then a 3rd one:
I think I ended up using images from 4 different sets plus a sentiment freebie from Lindsay's Blog  "The Frugal Crafter".  They are all from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff at mygrafico.  And they are having a SALE on Thursday (4-14). Here  are the sets I used:
Fancy Flowers  HERE

Steampunk Style  HERE

Sweet Stuff   HERE

All Around Phrases   HERE

Be sure to stop by and visit Lindsay's Blog to see what she has for you and get your freebie ...  and the rest of the Design Team Blogs for some awesome inspiration.  They are located in my right side bar.  Oh and almost forgot about the SALE at mygrafico . One Day Only.... so hurry!
Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Easter

The new Challenge at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges is "EASTER".  Daisy Doodles has some really cute Easter images.  Here is the one that I chose:

This image is called Li'l Duck.  Isn't he cute?  You can find him HERE at the Daisy's Digi Doodles Store.

There wasn't really much to this card.  I took a piece of white cardstock and sponged blue and green inks to look like grass and clouds.  I mounted it on a yellow card base.  I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and OMS and cut it out with my craft knife and popped him on the card.  The sentiment is a Studio G clear $1.00 stamp from Michaels.  Go over to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges Blog  and see the rest of the Design Team cards and join us in this challenge.

Challenges:
Creative Inspirations  -  Easter
Bee Crafty  -  Easter
Cardmad fairy's Digi Days  -  Easter

Spring Has Sprung

The new Challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges is "Spring".  It is no wonder that I chose this image to use.  My favorite thing in Spring is all the flowers that pop up after the Winter.

I live in West Virginia so when I see the Daffodils I know Spring is right around the corner.  When we were kids we called them Easter Lilly's.  They pop up out of the ground everywhere right before Easter.  Along the side of the road .. on hillsides .. just all over.

My card was inspired by Gina K's cropped circles video.  The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  The image from Daisy's Digi Doodles has the Daffodil's and the sentiment.   You can find it HERE.  I used Nesties and papers from my scrap basket.  This little card only measures 4.25 X 4.25.

Stop at the Challenge Blog and look at the rest of the projects from the Design Team to see their idea of Spring.  And get your Spring project entered to win.

Challenges:

Just For You Tags and a SALE

I have been doing a lot of sewing lately ... mostly gifts for the kids  ... so I wanted to make some tags for them.  But then I thought it would be good to have some on hand so I came up with tags that could be used for any of my sewing projects regardless of who they were for.  Here is what I came up with.

I am loving Lindsay's Sewing themed digi's.  This one is from her "Sew Pretty" set.  Check all of these images out.  Aren't they great!?!  Right now you can get them at a great price.  mygrafico is having a sale and the details are at the end of my post.

For my tags I printed the Spools out and paper pieced them.  I cut them out with a Labels One Nestie and stamped Just for you ... punched a hole and added the ribbon and they are done.  I wanted to do something that I could do multiples of relatively quick.

It's challenge time over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges.  For this challenge the theme is "GREEN".  I had to go with St. Patrick's Day.  Here is my card:

I used 2 images from "The Luck of the Irish" set at Daisy's Digi Doodles.  I can't remember where I got the sentiment.  It reads:
For each petal on the Shamrock
This brings a wish your way

And Happiness for Today and Everyday.

I colored my little guy with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  He was really fun to color.  Everything else came from my stash.  I am determined not to buy anything else until I have put a big dent in my stash.

Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Team and see their projects.
Then go to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges and enter your "GREEN" project.
