Seaside with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Lindsay has outdone herself with her new "Seaside Sketches" images.  I feel in love with them and as soon as I saw them I knew what I would do for this week.

I used her painting as a guide to color the image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I found the quote online and printed it out and cut it out with an oval nestie.  I thought it was perfect for this image.  If you haven't been to Lindsay's Blog you really need to go.   Lot's of awesome stuff.  You can find all of Lindsay's Stamp Sets at mygraphico.  Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT has done this week.  I know you'll be pleased.

D2D - "Dragonfly Collage"

I told myself I was going to be early tonight and here it is 3:30 a.m. again..lol   Oh well!  Designed2Delight - Delightful Inspiration has an awesome image this week.  "Dragonfly Collage".  I didn't get my card in last week and when I went to see what this week's image was I had to have it.  So I purchased it immediately and knew just what I wanted to do.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS and then painted on Crackle Accents.  After it was dry I cut it out and matted it with Lavendar cardstock.  Added a ribbon and a dragonfly charm and done.  I found the DP in my stash.

Here is a close-up so that you can better see the crackle.

My post is short and sweet coz I am going to bed.  I'll feel it tomorrow at work...lol.
I am entering this card in the Craft Your Passion Challenge.

A Duck Outta Water and exciting news

We have some exciting news!!!! Daisy Doodles has a new store. The Grand Opening is June 3rd so be sure and watch for it.
There will be a 3 day blog hop ...June 1 - 3 with prizes along the way. Also at SNR we will have an event going on. So keep watching for the details. And a Grand Opening Sale

but now...it is time for another Daisy Doodles Challenge at the Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges Blog. The theme is "Anything Goes"   I made my card using a new image called "Duck Outta Water".  There was a reason behind it...lol

I had been so busy with the dance costumes for the last couple months that I wasn't able to craft like I wanted to.  When I saw this stamp I thought that's how I was feeling....lol ....so I had to use it.

The papers came out of my scrap basket.  Sentiment is computer generated...cardstock, scribbles and a couple of ribbons and done.  Oh and I almost forgot...I always treat myself to a little something out of the money I make on the costumes and guess what I got this time?  Yep...you guessed it...
132 Prismacolor Pencils!!!  I am loving them!  WOOHOO!!

Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT has done.  You can find their blog listing in my left side bar.

2010 Dance Costumes

Most of you who know me know that I have been up to my elbows in dance costumes. After about 2 months of hard work with very little sleep the production was last night. The costumes I made were for "Stupid Cupid" and Guns N Roses "Welcome To The Jungle". Here are a few pics of "Welcome To The Jungle"

The pictures do not do justice. It was very hard to get good ones with the lighting and all the movement.
Check out the bubbles..lol

Here is a short video of Stupid Cupid

I have been working with the studio I think about 8 years. I love it but I am glad when it is done..lol. I'm already wondering what she'll do next year. After altering Men's Clothing 8 hours a day it is nice to have the creative outlet of costumes. And the girls are a lot of fun, too. At any rate ... when it is all done and I sit in the auditorium and see my costumes on stage it's a good feeling. The Jungle costumes will go to the National Dance Competition in July. Anyway I hope you enjoy seeing what I've been up to. I'll be glad to get back to normal. At least my normal...lol.
Thanks for visiting.

D2D - "May Flowers"

My card for Designed 2 Delight - Delightful Inspiration 's Challenge this week:

Faith's images never fail to delight me.  This one is so pretty.  I used a sketch from Annabelle Stamps challenge for this week.  I thought this image would work very well with it.  Everything I used on this card was either in my scrap basket or stash.  One of the girls I work with has a birthday Saturday so I am giving this card to her.

LSS Thursday

We had an open theme this week so I decided to do a black and white grad card.  I have been down with the flu for several days so my muse is totally gone.  Anyway this is what I have come up with.  Black and white cards using Digi's are very difficult for me.

I used Lindsay's School Papers and School Rules Digital Sets
You can find all of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Digital Stamps at
mygraphico
She also has some great freebie school papers.

I used these supplies:
black cardstock
LSS school papers, images and sentiment
black ribbon
black scribbles
stickles
and check out the rest of the DT blogs for some awesome projects.  (and let them know you were there)

Mother's Day with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

All of us at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff are posting on Thursday's now.  Our theme for this week is Mother's Day.  I had something else in mind and ran across this tutorial and ended up with this:

I used Lindsay's Doodle Flowers Digital Stamp Set and the Watercolor paper from the Doodle Flowers add-on freebie.  I love the paper.  I used around the outside of the jewelry box and then printed the flowers on it and cut them out.

I think this is the very first time I have done anything with digi's that didn't include coloring..lol

Here are the sets I used:

You can find them at Mygrafico along with all of her other awesome stamp sets.
Stop by the rest of the design team blogs and see what kinds of Mother's Day projects they have come up with.  They are all talented gals.
