LSS Hop, Shop and Crop - Day 3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY'S STAMP STUFF!!
Today is the last day of the 3 day blog hop, cyber crop and 50% off in the LSS shop anniversary event at the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop at MyGrafico!
Lindsay has a freebie for you too and you can get it in the Crop Room.
If you got here via Erin's Blog then you are on the right track.  (Wasn't her project awesome?)  If not then go back to Lindsay's Blog to start the hop from the beginning.
Before I show you my project let me show you the sets I used:

Pretty Primitive can be found HERE
Recipe Set can be found HERE.

Now for my project.
I decided to make a set of Boxed  Note Cards.  I printed the images that I wanted to use and cut and embossed them with the largest Oval Scallop Nestie.  They are colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS.  I then cut cards from the largest Oval Nestie and adhered the scallops to them.  I made envlopes to go with each one.  I then used the Folio template from the Recipe set  to make a box for them.  There is a svg file but I printed the template and printed it on CS and cut it out.  It worked out perfectly.  All of Lindsay's sets are really versatile.  These are going to be a gift for my Aunt.  I didn't embellish so they could be mailed using standard postage.
Here they are individually:

I love these images....they are really a fun set to color.  Lindsay is giving away 18 digital stamp sets during during the LSS birthday event. You have a chance to win the Pretty Primitive Digital Stamp set used to make these projects right now. Leave a comment on this post for one chance to win. For a second chance to win, add the "I'm a fan of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff" badge to your blog and link to the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff store on mygrafico.   Leave a second comment letting me know you have done this. I will use random.org to pick a winner the evening of Monday, April 19th, and will post their name here on Tuesday, April 20th.   Please leave your email address to make it easier to get the free digital set to you if you win. (To help avoid spam type it in this format: shestampsblog at yahoo dot com) If you already have this set, don't worry you can still play. Lindsay will allow you to swap it with another set if you are picked.

.I really hope you have enjoyed my project.   The next stop on the hop is Melissa.  Ican't wait to see what she has in store for you.  If you get lost along the way you can go back to Lindsay's and see where you were.  And don't forget to visit the crop room when you're done.  Have Fun!!!!!!

D2D "Garden Fairy"

Well I made it again with 56 minutes to spare....lol.  Faith always gives us the most wonderful images and this one is no exception.

This is for the Designed 2 Delight:  Delightful Inspiration Challenge.  If you have never been there you need to go.  It is a progressive challenge each month.  When you use her image at the beginning of the month you get the next one.  Faith has the most adorable images.  You can check out her Digi Stamp Store HERE.

Now onto the card details.  I ran across a tutorial today at Whiff Of Joy for a 3D Easel Card and thought this little Garden Fairy was perfect.  Other that the card stock and Stickles all of the elements are from Daisy Doodles Card Kits.  I printed the papers, fence, flowers and ribbon.  I am really having fun with digital papers and elements.  Until next time.....

U Make My Heart Flutter

This image is from Firecracker Designs.  I thought this was a really pretty image.  I printed it out at 3.5 x 5 and colored it with Prisma Pencils and OMS.  It's matted on red cs, border punched on the top and bottom with a Martha Stewart punch and layered on a blue print background.  The sentiment was a free download from FCD , circle punched and inked.  I added a red organza ribbon and that's it.  FCD is having a challenge and a drawing for a gift certificate on their Facebook Fan Page on February 14th so I made this card for the contest over there. Go check it out...you will be entered in the drawing for a gift certificate just for becoming a FCD Facebook fan.

I am in a less is more phase lately and am just liking to make cards with a simple feel to them rather than adding a lot of embellishments.  You know how we are..lol...one phase after another.

I hope all of you had a good New Years Day!  Now I am off to work.......YUK!!!!    See ya soon!

Another Winter Card

I am liking using images that I didn't use for Christmas for Winter cards.  It makes me look at them differently.  I didn't realize that I get stuck inside the box....lol.  I am going to make an effort to look beyond the initial thought for an image.  Does that even make sense...?    Anyway...on to my card.....

This image is a freebie from Wendy at Digital Doodling. I love all of Wendy's images. Here is what I used:   Paper is K&Company, Oval Nesties, $1 Stamp, Flower from stash, $1 gems and Scribbles.  I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I really like blue & brown together. But then I really like brown with a whole bunch of colors..lol.  I hope you like my card.   See ya later!

Winter

This is a card for an upcoming Winter card swap in a group I belong to:

I really liked this image and didn't get to use it on a Christmas card.  So when my group posted a Winter card swap I thought it was perfect.  Determined not to use anything even remotely close to Christmas colors I settled on these.

I used DP from K & Company.  (I love their papers). I embossed CS with a cuttlebug embossing folder, sponged green ink over it and cut it out with a Nesties scalloped rectangle.  I then layered the free image from Pollycraft (I'm sure...lol) with 2 shades of pink CS cut with Nesties..... added an organza  ribbon, some gems and punched snowflakes.  The "all bundled up" and "winter" sentiments are the clear $1 stamps from Michaels.  I added Diamond Stickles to the snowflakes and the word winter.   Oh.....and I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS...but you knew that already....lol.

I wasn't sure about the colors but I think I like it.  What do you think?

Digital Doodling

I am posting this because I need to make a correction

I had posted these cards earlier and stated that the images were from Pollycraft.  They are not.  They are freebies from Wendy over at Digital Doodling.  I am so sorry.  If  you haven 't been to her blog it is worth visiting.  She has adorable images and cards.  The blue card is her Christmas Belle image, and the second one is her Mrs. Tilly Clause.  I am looking forward to more images from Wendy.  The holly leaves are from Jules.  Again I am sorry for the error.  My New Years resolution is to try and get some kind of organization with images.  I have a new card to post tomorrow.  It has to dry  So until then have a good night!

More Christmas Cards

These are more Easel Cards.  I really like making them.

This is another free image from Pollycraft:

This one is a free image from Cuddly Buddly:

This is from Pink Cat Studio:

Another one from Cuddly Buddly:

And lastly the Santa and little girl is an embossed Rubber Stamp image..don't remember where from..I've had it quite a while.  The digital Image is another one from Pollycraft:

This is my start on Christmas Cards.  I still have to make them for my co-workers and some for personal yet. And Christmas is right around the corner....I better hurry...lol

Some Christmas Cards

This is my first attempt at making shadowbox cards:

The first is an image from Dustin Pike.  The second a free image from Pollycraft.  Circle Sentiments are from The Cutting Cafe.  I used my oval nestabilities to cut out the ovals, CB snowflake and swiss dot embossing folders.  Images are colored with Prismas and OMS.  As usual the photos don't do them justice.  I'm still trying to get a handle on photographing cards.

Pink Tri-Shutter Card

I have been wanting to try this template for a long time and it came up in a swap so I decided to give it a try.  And you know what?...IT WAS FUN!!!  I will be making more of these.

The image is a freebie from Simply Inger.  I colored it with Prismas  and OMS.  The quote is a Tim Holtz stamp from Michaels...paper and flowers from my stash...Martha Stewart border punch...and Scribbles for the dots.  You can find the tutorial here.  The next one is a pic of the same card closed.

I really enjoyed making this card.  Gosh I hope you like it.    See ya next time.
