Friends and Memories with Lindsay

Boy the days sure seem to fly by....I honestly don't know where the week went.  Well...yes I do.  My Granddaughter got in from Florida last Thursday for a visit and left yesterday.  This week was gone in a blink.  I am missing her already.  :(

This "Old Car" of Lindsay's just seemed to call to me...and it's a freebie to boot.  How cool is that.  And I am still  on a digital kick so this is what I ended up with.

The car is the freebie from last Thursday.  You can find all of Lindsay's awesome stamps at mygrafico HERE.  Go to Lindsay's Blog to grab the "Old Car".  Be sure to go to all the Design Team Blogs to see what they have done.  They never fail to amaze me.

Dalton and Freddy

I am on a digital kick right now so I wanted to do a scrapbook page using a Daisy Doodles image.  Well this is what I came up with.

Dalton is 6 years old now but I have always loved this photo.  I was just learning to digital scrapbook when I first started my blog and quit.....don't know why.  But I have been wanting to do some digi pages  and incorporate Daisy Doodles images in them so this is what I did.  The image is "From Me To You Freddy".  You can find him in Miss Daisy's store HERE.

Supplies used:  imagic reflections scrapbook kit Birthday Giggles
Daisy Doodles From Me To You Freddy

I am entering this in the challenge "Anything Goes" at Digi Doodle Shop's Best

Thursday with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Lindsay is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches this week and we are all using one of the sketches from over there.  I chose Sketch #38:

I has a hard time choosing my sketch since there were so many good ones.   I used two of the images from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff  "Birds and Branches" Stamp Set.  I love this set.  This entire card was done digitally.  I used PSE and made the card and colored the image with chalk when it was all finished and printed.  You can find LSS images at mygrafico.  I really enjoyed making this card and plan on doing more digital cards.  I think I want to try some hybrids.
Don't forget to go over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and pick your sketch and play along. The theme is "Summer".

Check out the rest of the DT blogs and see what they have been up to and don't forget the freebie from Lindsay's blog.

Another Wedding Card

I had wanted to use the Bells from Daisy Doodles "Simple Elegance" stamp set for the challenge yesterday.  This is the most gorgeous set and I absolutely love it.  I had made cards using both images and when I was all done I managed somehow to get glue on the bells.  But no worries...I had the card with the cake.  I still wanted to use the bells so decided to re-color them and go ahead and finish the card today.  Well....I decided to play around with PSE ... which I am not real good at and decided to the card digitally.  My Son is going to be the Best Man in his friends wedding in August so this is what I came up with.  I hope Casey isn't looking...lol

The papers and embellishments are from SkyScraps Romance collection.  I found them free on DigiScrap Depot.

I did 2 digital cards today but I can't show you the other one yet.  I have really enjoyed playing with this.  I started doing digital scrapbook pages and got sidetracked with card making...which I love..but I miss playing on the computer with PSE.  I don't know how long this will last before I am back to my regular cardmaking but for today I had fun!!  Oh and I still have the bells colored with my prisma pencils to make another card...lol...just need another wedding!

Now for the tutorial:
 How I  Watercolor DigiStamps

I am by no means an artist ….  Just a Grown-Up kid who loves to color.

Supplies:       Digital Image … Watercolor Pencils … Prismacolor blender Pencil … Aqua Brush

1.  Print Digital Stamp.  (I just use regular white cardstock)

2.  Using the Colorless Blender Pencil trace over the lines of the digi.  This will keep the ink from bleeding.  Or you can spray the image with a sealer.

3.  I color using 2 different methods.  Using the Aqua Painter I take color from the tip of the pencil and lay the color down on the image.

The 2nd is to color around the edge of the images and with the Aqua Painter draw the color down through the image.

4.  That's all there is to it.  Here is the completed  image.

I hope this was a help to some of you.  I love to color and keep things as simple as possible.

Knickerbocker Glory

This image is another of Daisy Doodles.  It is called "Knickerbocker Glory" and has a sentiment with it.  Before I show you my card I have to tell you that I was calling it the ice cream image.  Miss Daisy told me that there was no way I could get it until I called it by it's right name.  Well, I have to tell you that knickerbocker was new to me.  Around these parts it is a sundae or parfait.  But regardless of what you call it..it's a pretty awesome image and you can get it at Daisy's Digi Doodles.

Anyway here is my card:

I decided that it is my knickerbocker and it can be any flavor I want and I want strawberry with chocolate syrup..lol   It doesn't show real well in the picture but I used a snow writer for the whipped cream and paper glaze over the glass.  I embossed the brown cardstock with a CB folder and added pink scribbles to the circles.  The paper was from my scrap basket.... I think K & Company.  Now I want to run right straight to Baskin and Robbins and get a great big Hot Fudge Sundae.  I think I'll ask for Knickerbocker Glory and see what happens...lol.

It's really difficult to choose the one you want to use.  I played in PSE for about half of the day with them trying to decide which one..lol   I printed several but this is what I decided on:

This is such a fun set.  I can't wait to see what the rest of the Design Team is up to.  Start with Lindsay's Blog and see what they've done this week.  I know you are going to find lots of inspiration.
