Beehive Yourself

Rudy, Susie and the kids were in all last week from Florida.  I soooo love to spend time with them.  They left Saturday and I miss them already.... :(   So now it's back to business as normal.  So that means it is time for ....
Yep! ....  Daisy Doodles Challenge #16    .....  ANYTHING GOES
Here's my card:

For this one I chose Daisy Doodles Image "Beehive Yourself" .  I hadn't used this one yet so thought this was a good time.   I really like this image.  You can find it and many more at Daisy's Digi Doodles Store.  And right now Miss Daisy has a SALE up to 50% off on everything in the store.

I used a Fiskars Texture Plate and inked it for the background...colored my image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS ..I made the flowers with 2 shades of yellow tissue paper.  After it was done I spied the little bee applique on my bulletin board.  I had it left over from a dance costume 3 years ago.  So viola .. it was perfect with the image.

Check out the rest of the DT's projects for some inspiration and then cruise over to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge Blog and enter your project.

2 Lindsay projects today!! WOOHOO!!!

It's Lindsay's day again!!  I did 2 projects for today but....before I show you I need to tell you that Lindsay is having a 40% off sale in her mygrafico store.   It will run until midnight.  Now on to my first project......  I really started this one for last week and changed my mind mid-stream and did the note cards.  Us crafters are like that..lol.  This uses her free vintage image that you can find on her blog here .....Post-It Note Holders........

There really wasn't anything to them...printed it in 6 different colors and just added the flowers and bows.  I love this image and it's free.   :)

Here is my 2nd project:
This card uses one of the images from her "Steampunk" Set.  This really is an awesome set and a great one for guy stuff.  I saw this sketch over at the Stamp TV blog and loved it.  I started with brown CS.  The BG paper is a page from a book in latin.  I crumpled it..inked it with linen distress ink..crumpled it again and inked it with a darker distress ink.  (Both by Tim Holtz)  I then used another piece of brown CS and a piece of tan CS inked with the darker distress ink and cut it out with a labels one nestie.  I then cut the image out with a smaller labels one nestie and layered it on the brown CS.  I used my paper crimper to make the ribbon out of a piece of scrap.  The sentiment stamps were from a set I got on clearance at Michael's a few years ago. I do not not remember the name.  I can probably find the package if you want to know.
This set is so awesome!  I want to use all the images at some point.  You can find it at mygrafico  here.  And if you want it you can get it for 40% off until midnight.

Be sure and check out all of the Design Team blogs.  They have some wonderful inspiration for you.    And don't forget to see what Lindsay has today for her freebie.  She also has a tutorial for you on photocopy transfers.

D2D Delightful Inspiration and Double Delight

The image from Faith this week at Designed 2 Delight - Delightful Inspiration is "Happy Harvest".

I love this image.  This is a progressieve challenge.  There is also another challenge called Double Delight using the image from the Delightful Inspiration Challenge.  This week is Clean and Simple.  And Clean and Simple is my very favorite by far.   So needless to say I have to enter both.

I colored my image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  The sentiment is one of the the clear stamps from the $1 bin at Michaels.  The rest of my card is self explanatory.  Very Simple!

Daisy Doodles Challenge - Yellow and Cream or White

The challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges Blog is "Yellow and Cream or White".  Here's mine:

This oval easel template is from Ann Whitfield of  Crafty Ann's.  I love easel cards anyway and couldn't resist trying this one.  The image that I chose this time is "Sunflowers".  You can find it as well as many others at Daisy's Digi Doodles Store.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS and mounted it on layers cut with Nesties and place on the oval easel card base.  The paper is from K & Company ...ribbon and sunflower button from stash.

Thanks for stopping by,

LSS - "just a note"

Well it seems that I am back to note cards.  I don't know why but I like to do them.  This time I used Lindsay's "Steampunk Style" Digital Stamp Set.  The old typewriter just seemed to scream note card to me.

What do ya think?  I would like to do all the stamps in this set.  These measure about 4 1/2" square.  I still need to make envelopes for them.  This is really a great set and you can find it at mygrafico HERE.

As always there is a freebie on Lindsay's Blog.  Her freebies are always awesome.  The rest of the Design Team has projects that are sure to inspire you.  Go have a look.  :)

Daisy Doodles "School Time"

It's hard to believe it but it's that time again.  "School Time"   My grandkids start back on Monday...where did the summer go!?!   I decided to make a card using Daisy Doodles  "School time".  There are 6 images in this set and I used 5. And right now Miss Daisy is having a 25% off sale on EVERYTHING in the store.  So you can get this 6 stamp set for $2.25.  WHAT A DEAL!!!!

I am trying to get out of my creative slump!  The papers are from my scrap basket (they were digital but I don't know from where).  The red trim came from a $1 bin at JoAnns.  I cut out and colored each digi stamp with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  And that is everything..lol.  I would like to enter this card in the Paper Playtime Challenge  -  School Days.

I had been so preoccupied with my little dog ... Pepper ... that I could not do anything.  I honestly thought I was losing her.  She is 12 and totally blind and contracted a uterine infection.  It has been over a week now but she is on the mend.  She is so skinny and I am having to cook and hand feed her every hour or so to try and put weight on her.  She is very weak but is moving around ... I am seeing improvement in her every day now.    Here is a pic of my baby girl:
I have had a wedding dress for 2 weeks to alter and couldn't get it done because I couldn't bring myself to leave Pepper long enough to go upstairs to my sewing/craft room to do it.  So now that is my project for today.  I think that maybe I am coming out of my slump and hopefully afterwards can work on some more cards.
Have a great rest of the day!!!!  :)

Thank you for coming by,

Finally

I have finally made a card that isn't digital.   I have not been in my craft room for a while.  My little dog has been very sick and I can't bring myself to go upstairs and leave her.  She is my baby and I have been so worried and preoccupied that it really is difficult to craft.  But I left DH in charge of her for a little bit and went upstairs.  My Blogging Sister and friend Cheryl of She Stamps sent me some House Mouse images she stamped back at the beginning of the year.  I colored them but never made the cards.  I decided to make one with the little ballerina. These are all just the cutest stamps.  Anyway here is my card:

Everything was out of my scrap basket...I love it when I can use up small pieces.  The flowers were even ones I had made before and threw them in my little bucket of stuff I decided not to use.  I am hoping that I can get out of this slump that I'm in and produce some more cards.  But until my little baby girl ... Pepper .. is better I am really having a hard time doing anything.  She is 12 yrs and has been my baby her whole life.  Please say a little prayer for her.
