NAME THAT DIGI CONTEST at Daisy Doodles

Name this stamp for a chance to win it!   :)

Isn't this just beautiful?!  Go to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges and name this stamp.  Leave a comment with the name for a chance to win it.

From Miss Daisy:     I need a name for this new release, not my best point lol
I decided to do another 'Name me' challenge with it.
All you have to do to win it, is leave a comment below (on the DDCC blog) stating the name you think it should be.
I will name the stamp after the one I like best and send the stamp to the winner,
after announcing the new name.
As I want to get this in store, the challenge will close on wednesday.
Looking forward to having a hard choice to make :)
Hugs
Jules

Special Day

This is my very first wedding card.  I don't know why but wedding cards always intimidated me.  One of the girls I work with needed one so I decided to give it a try.  Her color was pink.

I took the picture at work and the lighting is horrible.  I used Georgia Pacific cardstock and it is really white.
Below is the inside (which is also white).

I seemed really weird while I was making this card.  This is the first card in well over a year that has not had a digital image on it.  I was waaaaay out of my comfort zone...lol.

mmmmmm.....

                                    ............................. fresh strawberries!
These images make me want to run right straight to the Farmer's Market and buy Strawberries.

I printed these out directly on my card base and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  You can't see it very well in the picture but I scored lines on each card and then used an EK Success Border Punch.  I love what I call stand alone images that are pretty enough on their own without embellishments.  I just love clean and simple and these images from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff at mygraphico really fit the bill.  These are from Lindsay's new set "Strawberries and Watermelon".  I really like notecards and when I saw these they screamed notecard to me.  I plan on making a set of these .... I'm thinking they would be a really nice set bundled and tied with a pretty red ribbon.

It's Thursday so that means the DT have all posted projects that are sure to inspire you.  Starting with Lindsay's be sure and visit each one to see what that have come up with.

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Thursday - for Dad

Thursday - time for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff post.  I decided to do a Father's Day card.  I saw a technique video at Stamp TV using a piece of the newspaper and distress inks and wanted to try it.  So I picked an image that I thought would work with it.  Here is what I came up with:

This is the image.  It is "Most Tools" and can be found at mygrafico.  I took out the wording and added my own.  I hope that's OK Lindsay.

I colored it with Prisma Pencils and OMS...then inked around it with Tim Holtz Linen Distress Ink.

I am excited to see what the rest of the DT has done.  Be sure and visit all of them starting at Lindsay's Blog.  She has a tutorial for you.

Truth or Lie

My friend and SBS   Sistah Cheryl of She Stamps Blog gave me this award with specific instructions to go along with it.

I have to make a list of seven things about myself.  It has to be 6 lies and 1 truth  OR 6 truths and 1 lie

here is my list.
1.  I travel to CA regularly to visit my daughter
2.  I play the piano
3.  I am totally addicted to coffee
4.  I grew up on a farm
5.  When I was younger I did a lot of modeling

So...which is it truths or lies.....you decide.
And I will pass this to 7 people who are also creative writers....or are they?

Daisies....

I Love Daisies

I've had this card in my mind for quite a while.  I downloaded the background about a year ago..before I had my blog....it was for scrapbooking and was actually a sentiment.  I don't know who it belongs to so if anyone knows please leave a comment and tell me so I can give the proper credit.

I enlarged it for the background and added a Digital Stamp from Daisy's Digi Doodles   "Flower Pack".  Colored with prisma pencils and mounted on black cardstock ... I cut around it to just leave the outline.  This is the most simple card I have ever done.  I just love this daisy....my favorite flowers are daisies and wildflowers.  Here is a pic of my wildflower garden:

These are the first ones to come up.   There are all kinds and all different colors.

I am entering this in the Tuesday Taggers Challenge   -  All That Blooms

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Thursday - Congrats on the new nest

I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted to do this week.  I had never used chalk to color a digi so I knew I wanted to find a stamp that would lend itself to coloring with chalk.  I decided on this image from  "Birds and Branches"

There wasn't a lot of supplies used with this card...I really wanted something clean and simple.  I chalked the image and inked around the edge with blue and double matted with beige and light blue card stock.  The sentiment is also from Lindsay's and I cut it out with an oval nestie and inked the edge of it also.  I punched each side with a punch and threaded ribbon through it.  Added 3 dots of light blue Scribbles... inked the entire edge of the card and that's it.

You can find Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Stamp Sets (and freebies) at mygrafico.  While you're there check out the Schools- out Sale through Saturday.

Visit Lindsay's Blog as well as the rest of the Design Team Blogs to see what they're up to this week.  You.ll see some great projects plus Lindsay has a freebie for you.

Congrats Grads...Susie, Cierra & Dalton

CONGRATS!!!!!!!

You have heard me talk about my DIL Susie and how proud I am of her.  I hear others talk about how they don't get along with their DIL's and realize how fortunate I am.  If I had handpicked mine I could not have chosen one that I love anymore ... she is the daughter that I didn't have.
Cierra is my only granddaughter....she is something else!  She reminds me of my Mom with some of the things she says and does...and I might add...she doesn't let her brothers get over on her either..lol   She has graduated elementary school and is going to middle school....gosh time flies ... doesn't seem that long since her Dad was there.  Way to go Cierra!!!!  I love you!!!
And our little guitar playing man...Dalton the youngest of the grandkids...has graduated Kindergarten.  He is the sweetest little guy....I could honestly just hug the life right out of him.....

Here are their grad pics:

Cierra ,   Dalton   and Mom (Susie)

Time once again for the bi-weekly challenge at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges Blog.  This one is "Father's Day / Manly" theme.  I decided to make a Father's Day card for my hubby.  I really wanted to use an image from the new "Summer Fun" set so this is what I came up with:

I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS.  The paper and cardstock are both DCWV....ribbon from the $1 bin at Michaels.  I used Stickles and Scribbles.  The sentiment was a freebie I downloaded a long time ago but I don't remember from where.  If anyone knows let me know and I will give the credit where it belongs.
